Between 1930 and 1938, A3 2580 'Shotover' was selected for trails with ACFI water pump. The pump was mounted to the LH side of the boils over the front driving wheel with pipework running externally along the boiler. Being a North British locomotives, 2580 was also dual fitted with Westinghouse brakes and carried a Westinghouse air compressor on the right hand side of the boiler until 1934
The Conversion includes fitting of the ACFI pump to the LH side of the boiler along with all associated pipework, with option of including the Westinghouse pump and associated pipework. The model will be renaming and renumbering with etched nameplates, gold over red/black numbers and lettering.
Option of gloss, satin or matt finish.

The conversion can be applied to any Hornby A1or A3 model - but for accuracy a GNR tendered model is suggested.
